Our Fire Risk Assessment Training is a training course designed to present your employees with the basic knowledge required to carry out a Fire Risk Assessment.
An extensive review of current legislation (both Fire and Health and Safety legislation) is provided at the beginning of the course.
Participants learn about the requirements of carrying out a Fire Risk Assessment of their work premises, as well as a review of the documentation required, carrying out an analysis of the building features, fire prevention measures, existing fire procedures, record keeping and auditing.
The course is designed to provide participants with the required technical knowledge necessary to carry out a Fire Risk Assessment under current legislation. It is important to point out that whilst technical competence is one of the most important requisites to carrying out a Fire Risk Assessment; there is a significant part of competence that is acquired only and exclusively through experience. Because of that, we recommend that the forms used by your staff, as well as their assessments and training, are reviewed regularly by a competent person.
Duration
Fire Risk Assessment Training courses are designed around the time available for staff and usually range between 1 and 2 days long.
Customisation
As the Fire Risk Assessment Training is delivered for your premises, we recommend that each client customises the training by providing us with your company’s logo, Fire Safety policy and procedures, equipment maintenance details and any other relevant information that can be used in the course and should be shared with all participants. There is no additional charge for customisation.
It is also of the utmost importance that our trainers can review the forms that will be used by the course participants to both collect the information and prepare the Fire Risk Assessment prior to delivering the training.
We are happy to assist you in preparing such material and a specific quote will be provided to you upon request.
We will also gladly assist you in arranging a competent person to review the Fire Risk Assessments, any additional training required on a regular basis and additional details will be discussed by our Client Relations Department prior to rolling out the course.
Certification
Upon successful completion of the training, each participant is issued with a Certificate of Attendance, which are sent directly to your office within a few days of the training course. Additional testing of knowledge gained may be provided depending on your specific requirements.
