Our Workstation and DSE (Display Screen Equipment) Training is a training course specifically designed to individually assess and train your employees on using Display Screen Equipment and to customise their workstation environment.
Participants learn about basic ergonomics principles, back care and injury prevention, as well as a broad range of related topics.
Having worked closely with a number of ergonomics specialists, we have designed a training course that is effective and memorable.
Participants are given a brief overview of risk reduction behaviors whilst operating a number of DSE as per their job requirements. Postural awareness, back care, and injury prevention are explained and their workstations assessed. Participants also learn about possible risks to vision and ways to reduce risk and manage existing conditions. Practical exercises are shown to help reduce areas of particular concern highlighted by the assessments’ results.
The assessments’ results are presented to your health and safety management team and an appropriate strategy aim at reducing risk and controlling existing areas of concerns is developed if required. We also have the ability to provide you with referrals to occupational therapists and other specialists.
The Workstation Assessment and DSE Training are held on your premises.
Duration
Workstation Assessment and DSE Training are designed around the time available for staff and each trainer usually spends between 45 minutes to an hour with each member of staff.
Certification
Upon successful completion of the training, each participant is issued with a Certificate, a copy of which provided to your Health and Safety management team. If a requirement for additional action is highlighted by the individual assessments, the information is provided in a confidential report and discussed at depth with your H&S management team.
